Quivers revealed Monday that doctors had discovered a softball-sized mass pressing on her bladder over the weekend. She went to work on-air at the Howard Stern Show both Monday and Tuesday wearing a catheter with a urine bag strapped to her leg.
On Tuesday's Howard Stern Show, Quivers stated that she was due to get results later in the day:
“Results come in today, and I think from today, I’ll know what the plan is...Unfortunately, I have a genetic background for everything…My mother has had breast cancer and colon cancer. She’s still here though...It could be a uterine situation with a fibroid or cervical cancer or ovarian something or other…They can’t really tell where it’s coming from. They know it’s there. They can’t tell its origin yet.”
Howard Stern was audibly shaken by the news, but dealt with it in classic crude humor fashion.
“I’m saying it’s not cancer," said Stern. "Any chance it’s a baby?...When they take this thing out—this tumor, we’re going to save it and she’s going to raise it as her own.”
The Howard Stern Show returns live Wednesday at 6:00 a.m.
