Robin Quivers' cancer announcement has come as a surprise to many fans Monday. The star is known for her years of work with Howard Stern on his radio show, and TMZ shared the details Sept. 9 of her news that she has been battling cancer for the past year. Luckily she had good news to share in the midst of the shocking revelation: doctors say they believe she is now free of cancer.

Quivers shares that she has been battling from cancer for the past year, having gone through chemotherapy and other treatments, after the disease was found in endometrial tissue. The cancer was found after a grapefruit-sized mass in her pelvis was discovered last year. Robin Quivers has been doing the show from her home rather than the studio for the past year, and she's had unwavering support from Howard throughout her battle.

While it sounds like Robin Quivers' cancer battle was a long and difficult one, fans are thrilled that she is doing well now. Howard Stern says that he freaked out as she initially went through surgery, and watching her fight to overcome the disease tore him up. Here's hoping that Quivers stays healthy and can make her way back into the studio with Stern and the rest of the gang.
