Robin Quivers' 2011 NYC Marathon fundraiser falls short

Howard Stern Show co-host Robin Quivers' efforts to raise money for her 15 Foundation while sitting out the 2011 NYC Marathon appear to have run out of steam.

Quivers set a goal to raise $60,000 for her charity which sponsors projects for underprivileged youth, but as of two days before the race, her "team" had raised just $7,000.

In August 2011, Quivers announced that instead of running the NYC Marathon herself like she did in 2010, she would recruit a "team" of six runners to raise $10,000 each for the 15 Foundation. Those who fulfilled their goal would be guaranteed a spot in the race and would be invited to share a pre-race meal with Quivers herself.

Only one runner is listed as part of Team 15 Foundation, a former middle school teacher named Sam Sturm. It is unclear if Sturm will still be treated to a face-to-face with Quivers if he doesn't reach his goal before the race on Sunday, November 6th.
