Roberto Marroquin returns to WinStar World Casino Saturday night

Roberto Marroquin will make his return to the site of the only loss of his career when he travels to WinStar World Casino in Thackerville, Oklahoma to face Carlos Valcarcel of Puerto Rico in the ten round main event of a scheduled seven-bout card to be broadcast live on Fox Sports Net on December 17th The non-televised portion of the show begins at 7:00 PM.

The televised portion of the Fox Sports Net broadcast will begin at 9:00 PM.

Marroquin, 20-1, (14 KO's) from Dallas, TX and the dangerous Valcarcel, 12-3-4, (5 KO's) of Catano, Puerto Rico will meet in a bout promoted by Bob Arum's Top Rank, Inc. of Las Vegas, NV as part of the series known as the Red River Rumble at the WinStar's Global Event Center.

Marroquin has recorded a victory since his crushing loss to veteran Frankie Leal by controversial split- decision at WinStar.

Rated No. 8 by the United States Boxing Association (USBA) as a bantamweight, (122 lbs.), Marroquin, managed by Lou Mesorano, believes he is back to his winning ways and should be contending for a title by the end of 2012.

Two Dallas welterweights (147 lbs.) Julio Cesar Rangel, 8-4 (5 KO's) and Hector Vasquez, 6-1 (2 KO's) are in a fight against each other.

Undefeated Mexican heavywight Andy Ruiz, trained by the famous Miguel Diaz of Las Vegas is also scheduled to appear on the card.

Tickets range from $18 to $33 and are available at all Ticketmaster locations and the Global Event Center ticket office.

Doors open fight night at 6:00 PM.
