Hallmark Channel announced that Robert Wagner and Jill St. John have been cast as Mr. and Mrs. Santa Clause in the holiday movie "Northpole," according to a May 1, 2014 media announcement from the network. "Northpole," part of Hallmark's Countdown to Christmas lineup, premieres on Hallmark Channel on November 15, 2014.

Countdown to Christmas has become a holiday tradition on Hallmark Channel, which will air holiday programming 24/7 starting on November 1, 2014 and running through the holidays, for over 1200 hours of Christmas cheer. "Northpole" is one of 12 new original Christmas movies premiering on Hallmark this year.

Real life husband and wife, Robert Wagner and Jill St. John have been cast as the jolly old couple from the northpole in Hallmark Channel's original holiday movie. Wagner ("Hart to Hart") has received six Golden Globe nominations and one Emmy nod. St. John ("Diamonds are Forever") has been nominated for a Golden Globe Award.

The cast of "Northpole" also includes: Tiffani Thiessen ("White Collar"), Josh Hopkins ("Cougar Town"), Bailee Madison ("Trophy Wife," "Pete's Christmas") and Max Charles ("Mr. Peabody & Sherman"). "American Idol" Champion Candice Glover will make a special appearance.

Santa (Wagner) and Mrs.Claus (St. John) live in the Northpole, the magical land famed for spreading Christmas cheer. Santa's home has grown into a huge city powered by the magic of holiday happiness around the world. Ironically, the hectic pace makes it difficult to find time to enjoy the festivities. People everywhere get too busy to enjoy festive time together and the city is in trouble.

Who can help save the cherished traditions of Christmas? One young boy, Kevin (Charles), might have a chance if he can convince his protective mom, Chelsea (Thiessen), to rediscover holiday magic. Kevin gets help from charming teacher Ryan (Hopkins), elf-like girl Clementine (Madison) and gospel singer Josephine (Glover). Kevin is determined to include Chelsea in the holiday fun and prove that one small voice can make positive change and influence the hearts of many people.

"Northpole: is the first full-length, two-hour original holiday movie that Hallmark Channel and Halmark Cards, Inc. have created together. The holiday adventure employs state-of-the-art CGI technology taking viewers right into the magical world of Santa’s wonderfully enchanting hometown.

“We are enthusiastic and incredibly proud to work with Hollywood royalty Robert Wagner and Jill St. John on this very special project that will surely become a timeless holiday classic,” said Michelle Vicary, Executive Vice President, Programming for Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movie Channel. “Robert Wagner and Jill St. John capture the essence of ‘Northpole’ beautifully as Mr. & Mrs. Claus with their spirit, grace, humor and undeniable chemistry.”

“Northpole” is produced for the Hallmark Channel by Muse Entertainment in association with Crown Media Productions. Executive Producers are Joel S. Rice and Michael Prupas. Irene Litinsky is producer. Douglas Barr directs from a script by Gregg Rossen and Brian Sawyer.
