With the recent horror movie, The Conjuring, there has been a lot of interest in possessed dolls. But the original horror movie, Child's Play, also featured a possessed doll named Chucky. Chucky is real, but his real name is Robert. But don't worry kids! Robert is locked away in a glass case in a East Martello Museum in Key West, Florida.
According to Stranger Dimensions, Robert was a gift from a family servant to a child named Robert Eugene Otto. The family did not treat their servants well, and legend has it that this particular servant practiced voodoo and put a spell on Robert the doll in revenge. Robert kept the doll by his side his entire life except for a period of time when the doll was locked in the attic. Strange occurences would happen, such as eerie sounds and flickering lights. But the most chilling was that Robert the doll would actually attack. Now Robert the Doll in inside a glass case (like the doll in The Conjuring) for all to see his scarey face. It is said that the employees of the museum have seen strange things such as Robert tapping on the glass, changing facial expressions, and shifting positions.
There's only one way to find out if any of this is real, and it is to go to the East Martello Museum and look into the glass. But don't take pictures. Robert the Doll is camera shy, and he will block any attempt to get his picture taken by cameras supposedly shutting off even though the batteries are full. But whatever anyone does, they better be nice to Robert. Do not make him angry. Crazy thought, but what else is Florida known for besides possessed dolls, oranges, and Disney? That's right. Hurricane seasons. What would happen if a big hurricane came, damaged the museum, and broke Robert's glass cage? Robert would be free, and if the legend is true, he may find someone to occupy. So yes, be nice to Robert because it is impossible to know how angry a possessed doll might be after years of being locked in a glass cage and having people gawk and taking pictures of him (or trying to at least) all day only to be tossed around a bit by a hurricane. So if karma is real, it would be painful to have it from this guy!
