Robert Redford nominated for Golden Globe as best actor for 'All is Lost'

The “Golden Globe” (HFPA) award nominations were announced early this morning at 5 a.m. on Thursday Dec. 12, 2013 in Los Angeles, CA. The 71st annual awards ceremony will be Live on NBC Jan. 12, 2014 at 5 p.m.(PT) / 8 p.m.(ET). The show will be hosted by Amy Poehler & Tina Fey at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills.

“Breaking Bad” received three nominations, “Best TV drama”, “Best Actor TV Drama” for Bryan Cranston & “Best Supporting Actor TV Series” for Aaron Paul. The critically acclaimed TV show was filmed entirely at Albuquerque, N.M. This year was the show's last TV Season.

Robert Redford was shut out of a 'Best Actor' nomination for the SAG awards. But, he was nominated for a Golden Globe as “Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture” for “All is Lost.” The film also garnered a nomination for “Best Original Score for a Motion Picture” by Alex Ebert.
