Robert Pattinson will not be in the highly anticipated “Fifty Shades of Grey” movie because of his already fully booked schedule, according to a Oct. 23 report in Hollywood Life. After Charlie Hunnam dropped out of playing the coveted role of Christian Grey, rumors started circulating that the “Twilight” star would play the part.
The real reason Rob turned down 'Fifty Shades of Grey' is that it just doesn’t fit his work schedule. He read the script and was more than flattered when he was offered the role, but he is already committed to like three other films … It had nothing to do with the film somehow prolonging his sex status Twilight image,” a source told Hollywood Life.
He even joked that if he were to star in the film, he would buy his own personal tanning bed and would be working out even harder than he already does,” says the insider.
He dropped out of the project because he didn't want to be typecast … He didn't want the Robert Pattinson-esque attention that would come along with taking on this role," a source explained to People.
Robert Pattinson is currently training for his role in “Mission: Blacklist", a military drama about the interrogation of Saddam Hussein. He is also scheduled to be in “Queen of the Desert” with Nicole Kidman, and “Hold on to Me” with Carey Mulligan.
