"Twilight" star Robert Pattinson reportedly turned down a record deal from Simon Cowell. Pattinson, who is a talented musician previously had two songs featured on the "Twilight" soundtrack.
Robert Pattinson has revealed that before landing his "Twilight" gig he was ready to quit acting and focus on his music. However, plans change. Pattinson skyrocketed to fame after fans saw his portrayal of hunky vampire Edward Cullen. Rob had movie offers rolling in, some of which he took, and left his music career on the back burner. Now, it's rumored that Simon Cowell wants Pattinson to sign a record deal under his label, Syco.
Simon Cowell knows talent when he sees it, and he wants Robert Pattinson. According to E! Online, Pattinson turned down Cowell's offer for a record deal. "He is a clever guy, and he's created artists that he knows the public will like, that's why I don't think he could ever launch my music career," a source told The Sun.

Robert Pattinson is currently in pre-production for the final "Twilight" films, "Breaking Dawn." Earlier this year he filmed two movies, "Bel Ami" with Uma Thurman and "Water For Elephants" with Reese Witherspoon. Between upcoming projects and his "Twilight" commitments, Robert Pattinson has a lot on his plate. Maybe one day in the future fans will get to hear a Pattinson album.
