Robert Pattinson is homeless and is freeloading off his friends because he’s too cheap to rent or buy a place of his own. For the time being Rob is alternating between staying at the Chateau Marmont and living in Kristen Stewart’s home when she’s out of town, according to Breathecast.com on June 18.

In a recent interview promoting his new movie “The Rover”, Rob revealed that he’s homeless again according to The International Business Times on June 18. The following details on how Rob’s situation came about are provided by RTT News.

It seems that while Rob was filming in Toronto, his parents, who live in London came to Los Angeles and moved into the home the Twilight star was borrowing from a friend. When he returned from Toronto, Rob found that his parents had taken over his borrowed house and refused to give it back. He was “kicked out” and had to find someplace else to stay. That’s how Rob came to be temporarily living in Twilight co-star, Kristen Stewart’s house.

Freeloading is not new to Rob. When the widely publicized Kristen Stewart - Rupert Sanders cheating scandal broke, Rob moved out of the love nest he and Kristen shared and stayed at Reese Witherspoon’s Ojai ranch (which she has since sold.) Rob eventually sold the $6 million home he bought to live in with Kristen. At one point he was reportedly renting a place or living in a guesthouse at the home of a friend.

Robert Pattinson, who has a net worth of $100 million, says he’s never gotten used to the wealth he earned from the Twilight franchise. He still leads what many would call a somewhat frugal life. He doesn’t wear expensive clothes, splurge on luxuries, or drive a fancy car. He’s pretty low key. According to the last reports, he drives a beat up pickup truck.

Rob complained to Jimmy Kimmel that the $6 million mansion he sold was much too large for him, saying,

. . . you just stay in one room anyway. "I could basically live in a cell as long as I had a window.

Last year Robert Pattinson talked about relocating to London. But Rob confesses he feels more at home in LA. He’s quite satisfied with his current living arrangements because being at Kristen’s place means he can spend time with the two dogs they adopted when they were together, Bernie and Bear. He’s in no hurry to get a place of his own.

Apparently Rob has bounced around so much that he doesn’t know where his personal belongings are at present. He seemed genuinely puzzled when Jimmy Kimmel questioned him last week as to the whereabouts of his possessions, and it was obvious that he had no idea. He seems to think that his possessions are probably in storage somewhere and that “one of his minions” knows the exact location and more than likely has a key. Although Rob concedes that he wishes he knew where his belongings are, he really doesn’t seem overly concerned.

Robert Pattinson can certainly afford to rent or buy a home of his own to live in, should he so choose. But it remains to be seen whether or not Rob will actually dip into his bank account to invest in a permanent place to stay, despite the fact that he likes Los Angeles so much.

Since Rob and Kristen are apparently just friends now and are no longer romantically involved, thing could become complicated when Kristen finished filming and returns to LA, as Hollywood Daily points out. Will Rob continue to live at ex-girlfriend Kristen Stewart’s place, move back to the Chateau Marmont, or freeload off another one of his friends?

We’ll just have to wait and see.
