Poor Robert Pattinson is said to be on a road trip with his friends Sam Bradley and Tom Sturridge. The destination is unknown, but it's suspected that the group is heading to New Orleans, where Pattinson's girlfriend and Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart, is filming.
The guys made a stop on Monday evening at a Lubbock bar, and it didn't take long for the news to spread that a sparkly vampire was in their midst. Eventually the owner had to start refusing entry to fans, which led to a massive group of girls waiting outside.
One of the girls, who had been waiting for an hour and a half, reportedly managed to snag one of Pattinson's arm hairs as he walked out. Amazingly, all of the reports say that the actor was nothing but friendly and gracious, even stopping to take pictures with a few fans.
Unfortunately for Pattinson, the fans didn't maintain their own sense of calm. According to one 19-year-old local, "girls were running from opposite ends of the alley. After he got in the white truck, girls started jumping on the hood. Some girls tried to hang on to the back."
Pattinson's road trip partner, Sam Bradley, is going to be playing at the House of Blues in Houston in November, and some fans are hoping that Pattinson could be on hand for the show. If that's the case, hopefully all of the Houstonian Twihards will show "Edward" a bit of respect.

What a shame that young women can't behave with self-respect and respect for others. It's great to be a fan, but nobody welcome a rude one.
Some girls are ridiculously silly when it comes to "famous" personalities.
