Robert Pattinson had the spaghetti and meatballs and Sofia Coppola had the risotti with porcini mushrooms at power dining spot Musso and Frank on Friday.
Or so says a Hollywood Life source, someone who apparently has an in somewhere at this legendary Hollywood restaurant.
Said to be the oldest in this area of Tinseltown, dating back to the 1920s, Mussos originally was where all show business movers and shakers went to confab. In fact, Charlie Chaplin ate lunch at the New York-style grill on a daily basis, usually choosing boiled lamb with caper sauce from the lengthy menu.
But that menu is not the one Robert Pattinson and Sofia Coppola chose from on February 3 since this is an ever changing carte to fit current day diners' taste buds. Still, the seating is nearly the same at Musso and Frank, and these two movie makers chose one of the celebrated corner booths where the pair reportedly sat gabbing for two hours.
So did these high profile Hollywoodites make a deal?
That isn't clear.
But what is clear is that this favorite haunt of Sofia Coppola (she's a regular according to Hollywood Life) may become a favorite haunt for Robert Pattinson now as well. After all, he was said to have left a giant tip -- which could or could not mean that there's more to the story than just what these two ate at this famous Hollywood restaurant.
After all, Musso and Frank is a legendary place where show business collaborations have been made and sealed for decades.
