Twilight: New Moon leading man Robert Pattinson says he's just not cracked up to be a franchise man and he's "trying not to drown" amid the media and fans' excruciating attention.
Despite reports questioning the star's mental stability, an interview with Vanity Fair's Evgenia Peretz reveals a denied side of Pattinson that may mean no good for America's favorite vamp man.
In a report from Us Magazine, Vanity Fair interviews the 23-year-old Pattinson in his "San Diego hotel room is strewn with "beer bottles, old scrambled eggs, a half-eaten Twix bar, and a dirty pair of jeans."
The same report sends the same message from Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke who was quoted as saying Pattinson was "always drunk" in his first filming days and Us Magazine said the director mentioned him "frequently regaling castmates with his guitar-playing."
Us Magazine excerpts a quote from the VF article in which Pattinson says he's not cut out for the whole Twilight thing.
"I guess I'm not the type of guy cut out to do a franchise," he says.
