Robert Pattinson: At the Bel Ami world premiere with Christina Ricci in Berlin

Friday, Robert Pattinson joined Christina Ricci for the Bel Ami premiere at the 62nd Berlin International Film Festival.

The debut of this long-awaited film starring The Twilight Saga star was held at the 1,800-seat Berlinale Palast, one of Germany's largest theaters

But on February 17, all eyes were not on the snazzy venue. Instead, they were on the newly shorn Robert Pattinson, who was rocking a very short crew cut that created audible gasps from the crowd.

Meanwhile, RPattz's co-star, Christina Ricci, also heard gasps, this time for her look that effected that of a proper Hollywood screen siren. The American actress almost--but not quite--upstaged Mister Pattinson with her glimmering fishtail gown, hugging every inch of her well toned body.

Meanwhile, the British actor himself was garbed in spiffy attire that included a gray shirt and a black suit with notable three-quarter length coat--perhaps a bow to the period piece that was premiering in Berlin during the ninth day of the German capital's celebrated international film festival.

In fact, the Daily Mail commented, "...while the 25-year-old may have lost his hair, he certainly hadn't lost any of his sex appeal as he was bombarded by women of all ages desperate to get close to their heartthrob."

And so, while Robert Pattinson joined his Bel Ami colleague on the red carpet, he was "bombarded" by female admiration as Berlin went bonkers for the Twilight hunk who now stars in a different role, one that does involve sensuality but that does not involve sucking blood. Well, not much.
