It looks like those dating rumors about Robert Pattinson and Dylan Penn could actually be true. According to a Sept. 27 report by E! Online, the "Twilight" actor was photographed hanging out with Sean Penn's daughter at the Viper Room in West Hollywood. However, if Rob was trying to enjoy a fun fling with the model, it might already be over—Sean Penn reportedly warned Rob not to break his daughter's heart.
One source says that Rob and Dylan have just hung out a few times and that they aren't steadily dating. It's this news that worries Papa Penn—he doesn't want his daughter being used as a Kristen Stewart rebound. Dylan Penn is reportedly smitten with Robert Pattinson, and it sounds like Sean Penn is well aware of his daughter's feelings. According to Metro, Sean gave Rob a stern talking to after learning about his relationship with Dylan. "But Sean had a chat with Rob recently," a source revealed. "Sean knows what it’s like to be a young, successful actor and the beautiful women that come with it. He gave his piece about not getting too heavy with his daughter if he’s playing the field, as he doesn’t want to see her hurt."
If this little chat actually happened, it's possible that Rob will heed Sean's advice and ditch Dylan before she gets too attached to him. After all, if he's just looking for a Kristen Stewart rebound, there are tons of gorgeous women out there who would love to hook up with him, and none of their fathers are Sean Penn. But if Rob continues to be seen with Dylan, perhaps this is a sign that he's actually interested in seriously dating the model. And if Rob could actually manage to impress her dad, Sean would definitely be a good friend to have. The "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" became super famous for playing a young character popular with high school kids (stoner Jeff Spicoli), but he didn't let that early role define him as an actor. Rob is currently trying to accomplish the same thing, so perhaps Penn could offer him a little advice on how to become known for more than just playing Edward Cullen. However, Sean might be team K-Stew since he worked with the actress on "Into the Wild"—he did once gush about her "inner beauty." So it could prove to be very difficult for Rob to win Sean over.
So do you think that Rob and Dylan will become more serious, or will Sean's warning scare the "Twilight" star away?
