Robert Morris University’s Pittsburgh Speakers Series at Heinz Hall

Reserve tickets for next season; this season is sold out! On Monday, April 22, 2013, Nando Parrado will speak about his amazing life. Perhaps you remember Nando, a Uruguayan rugby player and survivor of a devastating plane crash that took place in the the Andes Mountains in 1972. The popular movie, Alive, details the remarkable story of Nando and his teammates’ harrowing experience. Nando was one of the two men who hiked through the Andes for 10 days to find rescue.

In interviews, Nando presents a beautiful outlook on life. He works and plays hard. Nando is now a television producer and personality and a businessman, holding CEO positions in four Uruguayan companies. For fun, this amazing gentleman races stock cars, watercraft, motorcycles, and sports cars. He has won awards for his sporting efforts.

Pittsburghers are fortunate to have the opportunity to hear this incredibly successful individual speak about his life and the ordeal that led to a movie, a book, a documentary, many public speaking engagements, and a spectacular life.
