Tim Tebow just might make the New England Patriots this season. On Tuesday August 27, Robert Kraft said that he’s rooting for Tebow to make the final roster. According to CBSSports via the Boston Globe, Kraft was quoted as saying “he’s a very special young man. He’s been a real joy to have around here.” In a nutshell, if the owner is on your side, then you have a great shot of making the team during preseason.
Let’s be clear here, Robert Kraft always has a say in the “groceries” he’s paying for when it pertains to the New England Patriots. If Tebow is truly a joy to have around, then the Patriots should make it a reality. Ultimately, Bill Belichick has the final decision.
Now all Tim Tebow has to do is not play rotten against the New York Giants on Thursday. Still, there may be a few obstacles to have Tim Tebow’s presence on the sideline throughout the season. Are the Patriots willing to have a third quarterback on the 53 man roster? If they aren’t, would New England have Tebow surpass Ryan Mallett?
While Tebow didn’t play one down in last weeks Detroit debacle, he is likely to get at least a half to showcase his ability in the final preseason game.
Of course Robert Kraft could have just let the world know that Tebow is making the team. It wouldn’t be surprising if the Patriots already have a package in place for Tebow just in case.
