Robert De Niro cries on ‘Katie’; ‘I don't like to get emotional’

Robert De Niro is making headlines on Tuesday as his reaction on the Katie Show is one that fans haven’t seen before. The actor is making the rounds for the award winning film Silver Linings Playbook and apparently he showed a softer side that is personal. The taping of the show was yesterday, but the airing of the segment will be on Tuesday. Talking about the issues that the movie touches, De Niro got emotional.

“I don't like to get emotional, but I know exactly what [Russell] goes through,” said Robert De Niro on the Katie Show. The entertainer seemed to get choked up and had trouble finishing his thoughts.
While some fans who haven’t seen the show but heard that De Niro was shedding tears this might sound odd. However what makes it so unique is that Robert De Niro was discussing how he could related to people who have mood disorders as he has a personal situation where he witnesses the issue first hand. Identifying with the challenge people face every day, the actor was swept up in the moment.
