Ain’t nothin’ like the blues. On Friday night, you can sing the blues in Downtown Miami along with Robert Cray and Shemekia Copeland.
Robert Cray is a blues guitarist and singer originally from Columbus, Georgia. He grew up as an Army brat and never stayed in one place very long. The constant moving caused him to turn to music, in which he found solace.

His albums explore both traditional and non-traditional blues sounds. He has recorded more than 20 albums and has won a Grammy Award. His vocal and guitar skill allowed him to work with Jimi Hendrix, Fleetwood Mac, Eric Clapton, John Lee Hooker and many more.
Shemekia Copeland was born in Harlem, New York and is the daughter of singer and blues guitarist Johnny Copeland. She began her career at age 16 when she toured with her father as his opening act.
Her first album Turn the Heat Up! debuted in 1998, Her second album Wicked earned Copeland three Blues Music Awards. She has since released the albums: Talking to Strangers, The Soul Truth and Never Going Back.
