British pop star Robbie Williams is known to have a flair for dramatics. (He once gave Simon Cowell a lap dance during a performance on The Tonight Show.) It seems that flair extends to his love of sports. That, combined with the World Cup, was bad news for his fiancée.
“Robbie’s wife-to-be decided she could not take any more after three days of soccer," A source said. "So she has moved out of his mansion and gone back to live with her mum until the World Cup is over."
If you're looking to keep your spouse, partner, or roommate happy, you might want to find somewhere other than home to watch the World Cup games. There are plenty of places out there opening early and showing the games. (Wonder why Robbie's wife-to-be didn't stay in the house and kick him to the pub?)
Here are a few places to check out the games in Houston:
Poison Girl (1641B Westheimer) - They're opening early and showing the games via projector. And, the drinks are cheap. This is the "not a sports bar" option.
Sawyer Park (2412 Washington) - They're showing all of the games, and they've got a breakfast buffet. And mimosas!
Firkin and Phoenix (1915 Westheimer) - They're opening at 8:30 a.m. on World Cup days.
See, there are plenty of options! Don't be like Robbie and force your person(s) to leave the house because of the vuvuzelas and your screaming at the TV.
