As reported on Saturday night, the Los Angeles Galaxy defeated Real Salt Lake in Carson, California, with a landslide scoring, 4-2.
Salt Lake drew first blood in the 53rd minute of the game with a goal by Jose Plata Cotera. Yes, the first half ended with no scoring.
Then the Galaxy lit up the Salt Lake defense and came up with a flurry of goals. The first two goals for the LA Galaxy were made by Robbie Keane (56th and 57th).
Omar Gonzalez, who recently signed as a Designated Player with the Galaxy, scored the third with a spectacular header, his expertise, in the 75th minute.
The shelling did not stop as Keane managed another in the 86th minute, making his effort a hat-trick.
Real Salt Lake saved face as they managed to get one more goal before the game ended, via Robbie Findley.
Panamanian goalkeeper, Jaime Penedo, debuted with the LA Galaxy for this game. He displayed impressive playing time; however, he and his defense allowed a final goal in the last minutes, which is something the Galaxy has been trying to fix defensive.
In the end, the victory was impressive for the Galaxy as they showed they can take down the team with the best record in the MLS.
