Robbery suspect with skeleton face tattoo arrested in Illinois

Police have arrested a suspect in the robbery of 28 self-storage units in Godfrey, Illinois.

Adam Roberts, 24, was linked to the crimes through an anonymous tip made to police. While following up on the lead, officers found Roberts in the process of moving out of his home into a new place, along with some stolen merchandise.

Roberts is believed to have broken into 28 storage units on February 17, stealing several items including a compact refrigerator, a television, and some wrestling DVDs.

What makes Roberts unique is his full face tattoo, which resembles a skeleton.

Madison County Sheriff's Department Capt. Mike Dixon told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch,

It’s the oddest thing I’ve ever seen in 20-plus years of law enforcement. I’ve seen horns on foreheads and stars on necks, but I’ve never seen a skull on a face.

I can’t explain it. It’s just odd.

Police are still searching for stolen items. Roberts is being held on $60,000 bond.
