A Speed’s Sub Shop on East King Street in Lancaster City, Pennsylvania was recently the target of an armed robbery according to a report published by FOX 43 on Monday, Feb. 18. However, thanks to an armed citizen, the would-be robber left empty handed and unharmed.
The man entered the sandwich shop, approached the counter, then told the employee that he had a gun and demanded money. Instead of emptying the register however, the employee drew his own gun and pointed it at the would-be robber, who quickly ran from the business empty handed.
This is yet another story of guns being used in self-defense where no shots were even fired, thus it will likely be left out of self-defense statistics.
With NBC’s weeklong series “investigating” “gun violence” in America, which exploits deaths that occurred over a weekend in January in an attempt to gain acceptance for gun control, the Little Rock Gun Rights Examiner has started its own series in an effort to help show that guns not only take lives, they very often save them. The series will highlight 30 days of guns saving lives. This is story number nine.
