Rob Zombie would be in the role of the director and Bret Easton would be the writer. They are planning on looking at the family as a whole. The series would examine the charisma and power of Charles Manson and how he controlled a group of followers to kill seven people in the summer of 1969.

The control was so powerful and the murders were so horrific that even though Charles Manson did not officially murder anyone he was still convicted of conspiracy and murder. He was sentenced to a death but California repealed their death sentence policy and his sentence was changed to life in prison. He has been denied parole but at the same time has had dozens of women offer to marry him. Even in prison he can control people with his charisma.

The idea for the show is to pull together the proven crimes with the possible multiple other murders that they may have committed and make each episode from a different point of view of each person involved.

They are still working on the script and no word of a pilot yet. But, this really should be an interesting story.

“I have been obsessed with this insane story since I was a kid, so obviously I jumped at the chance to be involved in this incredible project. After speaking with Bret, I immediately realized that we shared the same vision for this epic madness,” Zombie said.

So, are you excited about this show? What are you looking forward to? What do you hope they don't do with this show?
