Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart top highest-grossing romantic screen couples (Photos)

When it comes to romantic couplings on-screen, there's no one who has energized the box office these past few years than Twilight Saga co-stars Robert Pattinson (Edward Cullen) and Kristen Stewart (Bella).

Forbes investigated which on-screen romantic film pairings made the most loot over the last three years, and with $1.17 billion to show for themselves - from The Twilight Saga: Eclipse in 2010, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 in 2011 and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 in 2012 - Pattinson and Stewart easily topped the list.

Others included were Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum in The Vow, Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler in Just Go With It, Sarah Jessica Parker and Chris Noth in Sex And The City 2, Julianne Moore and Steve Carell in Crazy, Stupid, Love, Amanda Seyfried and Channing Tatum in Dear John, Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher in No Strings Attached, Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth in The Last Song, Zac Efron and Taylor Schilling in The Lucky One and Pattinson again with Reese Witherspoon for Water For Elephants.

It's worth noting that the second-placer on this list - Adams and Tatum - boasted $125 million, so the Pattinson and Stewart advantage was ten-fold or more over the rest. Bam!
