Rob Kardashian has reportedly agreed to enter rehab to treat his anxiety, depression and rumored drug addiction after his shocking 100-pound weight gain. Meanwhile, sister Kim is maintaining her 56-pound weight loss on a low carb ketogenic-style Atkins diet (details below).

“He’s looking at Bridges to Recovery [a California-based facility],” a source told InTouch. “Rob says he’s ready to take the first step and he really wants to go. He’s never said that before, so everyone thinks it’s a good sign.”

Sources said Kardashian has gotten dependent on the anti-anxiety drug Xanax and the painkillers Norco and Percocet to ease his depression.

Rob's recent dramatic weight gain (rumored to be between 70 and 100 pounds) has been an ongoing source of concern for his sisters Kim, Khloe and Kourtney, who are not only worried about his physical health, but his emotional well-being.

Kourtney remarked on a recent episode of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" that Rob's serotonin levels were dangerously low. Low serotonin causes depression, anxiety and other mood disorders.

Rob's sisters have repeatedly commented that his weight problems have made him more reclusive than ever. Rob skipped sister Kim's lavish May 24 wedding at the last minute.

Sources said Rob was embarrassed by his weight gain and felt out of place with all the slim, attractive guests at Kim's star-studded wedding. Rob has since skipped many other family outings and vacations and is noticeably absent from the latest season of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians."

The 5-foot-10 Rob, who reportedly weighs almost 300 pounds, has made no secret of his struggle to slim down. Rob's weight has made numerous headlines, as reports surfaced that he was considering bariatric stomach-stapling surgery or going to fat camp.

Rob's weight has been a running theme on "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" for the past three years. On a recent episode, a doctor's visit revealed Rob was in danger of developing diabetes and kidney problems.

Meanwhile, Kim has maintained her stunning 56-pound weight loss by working out daily and following the low carb Atkins diet, a high fat ketogenic-style diet known for producing rapid weight loss.

The ketogenic diet accelerates weight loss by forcing your body to burn fat for fuel, said obesity expert Dr. Eric Westman, author of Keto Clarity.

Kim said losing the baby weight was the hardest thing she had ever done, but also one of the most rewarding. The 5-foot-3 Kim recently revealed she weighs 125 pounds — five pounds less than her pre-baby weight.

Other celebrities who have lost dramatic amounts of weight on low carb diets include Megan Fox, who lost all her baby weight on a low-carb Paleo-style diet. Similarly, pop princess Britney Spears credited a low carb diet and yoga for her dramatic recent weight loss.
