Apparently New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski and other teammates didn’t get Tom Brady’s memo about vacation being over. On Wednesday, gossip news site TMZ posted a video of the tight end dancing at the Beyonce and Jay Z concert last night at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro. At least this time, Gronkowski had owner Robert Kraft with him as he showed just how stable his repaired ACL tear is.
The 25-year-old NFL star was shown busting a move to Queen Bey’s “Partition” and danced hard the entire night, as did many concert partiers. This also included Mr. Kraft, who showed some moves of his own, but apparently left early. Since the concert was held at Gillette, Gronkowski and Kraft weren’t the only ones representing the Patriots. A photo tweeted by someone who attended the concert shows defensive end Chandler Jones and wide receiver Aaron Dobson also in attendance. Former NBA star Charles Barkley was also shown with members of the team.
This was Gronkowski’s second concert in as many weeks in which he was captured showing off his dance moves. Gronk’s performance last week at the Jennifer Lopez concert in Connecticut showed that the tight end is back to his parting ways. At least he is keeping it local this time.
As far as Gronkowski’s rehab goes, both the team and the tight end are optimistic that he will be back for the start f the season. He didn’t participate in OTAs, but according to Mike Reiss of ESPNBoston.com, Gronkowski is on track to being available. Reiss said, “All signs are positive, and Gronkowski has said that. All spring he’s said things are going well and this is different from last year when he was suffering setback after setback after setback.”
If the Beyonce-Jay Z and JLo concerts are any indication, Gronkowski appears to be in very mobile with his knee and if any of those moves shown at the concerts are translated to the football field, it will be quite the season for the young tight end and the New England Patriots.
