This is easy, elegant and delicious! It looks pretty, too.
Ingredients:
One whole chicken
1 lemon, sliced
olive oil
6 or 7 shallots, chopped
Tony Chachere’s seasoning
3/14 cup Chardonnay
2 tablespoons butter
Place chicken in a roasting dish, preheat oven to 375
Rub with olive oil
Pour 1/2 cup Chardonnay over chicken
Add seasoning all over chicken
Place shallots all over the chicken
Place slices of lemon all over the chicken and some inside
Place the butter on top of chicken
Later, add 1/4 more Chardonnay
Baste throughout cooking
Bake for about 1.5 hours or until chicken is done
