Road to Wrestlemania travels through Dallas

World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) will bring their flagship show, Monday Night Raw, to Dallas. The WWE is six weeks away from their biggest pay per view event of the year, Wrestlemania XXIV. The buzz surrounding the WWE is huge due to the return of major motion picture star, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. The Rock has returned and after ten years is once again the WWE Champion. He will defend his title in the main event of Wrestlemanina. His opponent will be decided this Monday in Dallas.

WWE Raw returns to the American Airlines Center for a show that is shaping up to be an amazing night of sports entertainment. WWE superstar John Cena will battle former WWE champion, CM Punk in the main event. The winner will get a ticket to Wrestlemania to face The Rock. CM Punk was defeated by The Rock at the Elimination Chamber pay per view this past Sunday. John cena was defeated by The Rock at Wrestlemania XXVIII. Both men will be looking for a rematch and to once again hold the WWE championship.

The fans in Dallas will also be treated to a match with WWE chairman, Vince McMahon. McMahon announced on this week’s Raw that he would fight Paul Heyman. Heyman manages former WWE and UFC champion, Brock Lesnar. This match was set up in part when Lesnar attacked McMahon on Raw.

Brock Lesnar is advertised for next week’s Raw, so area fans can expect a rare television appearance from Lesnar. Some fans will be disappointed as The Rock is currently not scheduled to appear live in Dallas on Monday. Several stars such as Alberto Del Rio, Chris Jericho, Ryback, and The shield are all scheduled to appear. Tickets are on sale at ticketmaster.com or you can watch the show live on the USA Network.
