The Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) has named Erica Phillips of Hoboken, N.J. as the new RRCA Representative for New Jersey.
Erica is a native of Boston, MA and a graduate of Syracuse University with a degree in Kinesiology. She currently lives in Hoboken, N.J. and works in Manhattan in the pharmaceutical industry. Erica has an extensive background in dance, and is a personal trainer and coach for athletes. She is a member of the New York Road Runners Club and Hoboken HOHA.
According to Erica her passion for the sport of running began as a family affair. Erica’s father started taking her out on his daily jogs when she was a young girl and she has been running ever since. To this day, her favorite running partner is still her father.
Erica loves running any type of race – from 5K’s to the marathon. She has completed marathons in Hartford, CT, Providence RI, Long Branch, N.J. and most recently, the Marine Corps Marathon. Her ultimate goal is to complete a marathon in all 50 states.
Erica commented upon her selection, “I am very honored and excited to be the RRCA State Representative for New Jersey and am looking forward to sharing my love of fitness with others and helping all runners reach their fullest potential!”
