Road rage leads to sword attack in PA

A severe case of road rage has left one Pennsylvania man injured and another man in jail.  Three men were on their way home from fishing Tuesday evening when they noticed they were being followed by Joseph Lisco Jr.  According to reports, as Lisco Jr. passed their car, he made obscene gestures and then yelled obscenities at the three occupants - Matthew Storer, Ronald O’Neill and Anthony Cangemi.   All the subjects know each other and Lisco Jr. and Cangemi are in fact neighbors in the gated community of Saw Creek Estates.

An argument between the subjects ensued and Lisco Jr’s father, 52-year-old Joseph Lisco Sr., came out of his home to intervene.  He was carrying a 26-inch sword.   When the argument between Cangemi and Lisco Jr. became physical, the father began striking Cangemi with the sword, slashing his leg and head.

According to Storer, “He chased Anthony onto his own property. Then the father stopped and turned on me. There was a car between us. He hit my windshield, pushed me away from my vehicle, and took the sword and chipped the driver's side mirror off. He chased me down the block and I used the bat to keep distance from the sword.”

Lisco Sr. was arrested and charged with several charges including felony aggravated assault.  He was arraigned earlier today. He is currently being held in the Pike County Correctional Facility on $50,000 bail. More charges against the other subjects are expected.

Cangemi was treated and released at the Pocono Medical Center.  He required 10 stitches in his head and several staples in his leg.
