Although Chivas USA is winless in its past five games (0-2-3) and has just one win this season head coach Wilmer Cabrera believes the team turned the corner in it’s tie against the Portland Timbers.
“More than the result, it’s the performance, Cabrera said. “We rebounded from a performance that didn’t belong to us last week. That’s very positive, especially here against a very good.”
Chivas USA (1-2-3, 6 points) sits seventh in the West following a comeback road draw at Portland last Saturday.
Seattle Sounders FC are riding an 11-game (7-0-4) unbeaten streak in the series, Sounders FC are looking to win its sixth-straight game over Chivas USA.
Erick Torres is the only active Chivas player to score in the series.
Stefan Frei holds a 1.67goals against average in six starts against Chivas. Dan Kennedy has posted a 2.13 GAA in the series.
