Major League Soccer’s version of Road Warriors will continue their nomadic journey on Saturday.
Seattle Sounders FC (3-2-1,10 points) will be in Carson California for a 7:30pm clash against Chivas USA (1-2-3, 6 points).

Seattle Sounders FC are in a three way tie for second place in the Western Conference and have the best offense in MLS.

Leading the high potent offense is USNT Men’s team captain Clint Dempsey.

Dempsey was voted Major League Soccer Player of the Week by the North American Soccer Reporters (NASR) for Week 6 of the 2014 MLS season.

Dempsey earned the honors for the second-straight week after setting a club record with five goals in the past two matches.

While they are struggling with wins Chivas USA has had no problem finding the net.

Chivas USA ‘s Erik Torres is second to Dempsey in goals scored and former FC Sounders Midfielder Mauro Rosales is second in the league in assist behind FC Sounders Obefami Martins.

Although Chivas USA is winless in its past five games (0-2-3) and has just one win this season head coach Wilmer Cabrera believes the team turned the corner in it’s tie against the Portland Timbers.

“More than the result, it’s the performance, Cabrera said. “We rebounded from a performance that didn’t belong to us last week. That’s very positive, especially here against a very good.”

Chivas USA (1-2-3, 6 points) sits seventh in the West following a comeback road draw at Portland last Saturday.

Seattle Sounders FC are riding an 11-game (7-0-4) unbeaten streak in the series, Sounders FC are looking to win its sixth-straight game over Chivas USA.
Erick Torres is the only active Chivas player to score in the series.
Stefan Frei holds a 1.67goals against average in six starts against Chivas. Dan Kennedy has posted a 2.13 GAA in the series.
