The spoilers for the season finale of “Rizzoli & Isles” have been revealed, and another murder mystery is waiting to be solved. USA TODAY reports on March 18 that season four of the show is coming to a conclusion after only four episodes. However, the popular show will return with season five in the summer.

“Rizzoli & Isles” focuses on the death of a senator’s daughter in its season finale episode titled “You’re Gonna Miss Me When I’m Gone.” Jane Rizzoli and Maura Isles are forced to deal with Homeland Security because of the murder of the senator’s daughter, and the show’s spoilers indicate national security is at risk in the complicated case.

The murder is not the only focus of the season finale “You’re Gonna Miss Me When I’m Gone,” and Maura Isles seems to be getting closer to Frankie Rizzoli before Jane interrupts them. Season five may bring a new romance to “Rizzoli & Isles” if Jane will allow it to happen. However, the show may simply be teasing fans with the possibility without producing any real results.

Although season four was only four episodes, the show will return in June with a new season. Fans have been objecting to the shortened season online, but it appears to be related to the suicide of Lee Thompson Young. The tragedy affected production for the TNT show and forced the early end to the season.
