Badger State runners line up for the Third Annual River to Ridge Run on Saturday, September 14, in Janesville, Wisconsin. The event includes a 5K fun run, a 10K, and a half-marathon, all starting at Riverside Park.
Local registration closes Wednesday, September, 11, for the River to Ridge Run. Online registration ends Friday, September 13, at noon.
Registration fees include:
- 5K: $25
- 10K: $30
- Half-marathon: $65
Partial proceeds of the event will support the Rock County Cancer Coalition.
Start times for the River to Ridge Run are as follows:
- Half-marathon: 8 a.m.
- 10K: 8:10 a.m.
- 5K: 8:20 a.m.
Race packet pickup at Riverside Park is set for September 13, from 5 p.m. to 8 pm. and Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.
Youth (ages 14 and under) must run with an adult, if participating in the half-marathon.
Top runners will earn awards for overall male and female winners, as well as the top three in each age group. All River to Ridge participants who cross the finish line will receive finishers’ medals.
Mid-race aid stations will provide water, as well as Hammer Nutrition drinks and gels for participants. Finish line foods and drinks for all runners include water, chocolate milk, bagels, chips, fruit, and protein bars.
