River Horse Brewing Company is almost ready to launch an all-new Barrel-Aged Series, featuring some old favorites getting a brand new treatment thanks to their growing collection of oak barrels. With a number of beers already resting in bourbon and wine barrels, each of these will be an exclusive release to their brewery once each beast has awoken from their oaky slumber.
All of the beers will be packaged in 750mL bottles, and the brewery also plans to have them on draft with growler fills available during their respective releases. So when can we have it you say? River Horse is shooting for a Fall release, although this is still tentative based on label approvals and other legal hoops remaining to jump through.
The beers thus far:
- Tripel Horse aged in Maker's Mark barrels (12% ABV)
- Oatmeal Milk Stout aged in Maker's Mark barrels (9% ABV)
- Brewer's Reserve Berliner Weisse aged in white wine barrels
Fans of Tripel Horse, Oatmeal Milk Stout and Brewer's Reserve Berliner Weisse should look forward to the oak barrels imparting a new variety of flavors whilst creating a completely new drinking experience.
