Our economy is in dire straights but the River Bend Nature Center of Faribault, Minnesota, is moving forward with their biggest fundraiser of the year--30 Annual River Bend Ramble--complete with formal dinner, silent auction, raffle for the wall of wine, and more!

This wonderful event to be held on Saturday, October 8, starts at 5:30 PM with a social hour followed by a formal dinner. While socializing, take in the silent auction and get your raffle ticket for the Wall of Wine or purchased online ahead of time! Now if you want to donate a bottle of wine for the fundraiser, contact the Interpretive Center and then get your raffle ticket to win it back.

In addition to the silent auction, Moe Brand, who has graciously donated her time and talent to the making of a limited number of hand painted, signed and numbers ornaments of the year round resident at River Bend of the Northern Cardinal. These beautiful creations will be available for purchase at the Ramble.

This extraordinary evening of enjoyment at the center is both a celebration and fundraiser. Area businesses and community members donate numerous auction items for the event. Some of the items on this year’s auction items include a gift certificate for monthly massages for a year from Potter Chiropractic, an original carving by Marv Kaisersatt, a one week stay in a cabin on Sugar Lake in MN donated by Kathy Miller, and more! The annual Ramble event plays an important role in supporting the mission of River Bend Nature Center. As a private, nonprofit, the center depends on the region’s financial support and this is River Bend’s biggest fundraising event annually. Our corporate sponsors are the foundation of a successful event every year and are Faribault Foods, KGP Telecommunications, 1st United Bank, Harry Brown’s Family Automotive, and our dessert sponsor, Nelson’s Market Place.

Tickets for the 2011 Ramble are available from River Bend’s office or online for $35 per person. If you wish to donate more appropriate new and unique items for the auction, contact them as soon as possible via email, online, calling at 507-332-7151 or through Facebook! Above all, have a great and fun time at the 30 Annual River Bend Ramble--the best fundraiser in town!
