Rival Sons will play Wooly's on February 19 (Photos)

Southern California rock band Rival Sons will stop in Des Moines on Tuesday, February 19 when they play the East Village venue Wooly's. The doors at Wooly's will open at 7 p.m., and the show will start at 8 p.m. Nashville blues/rock group Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown will open the show. Tickets for the show are $10 in advance and $12 the day of the show. They may be purchased at the Wooly's box office or online through Ticketfly. This event is open to anyone 16 years of age or older.

Rival Sons got their start in 2008 in Long Beach, California. Over the years, the band built their following opening for bands like AC/DC, Alice Cooper, Judas Priest, and Kid Rock. The band has played all over the world, including sets at the Indianapolis 500 here in the U.S., the Sonisphere Festival (all over Europe), the T in the Park Festival in Scotland, Rock Werchter in Belgium, and the Main Square Festival (in Arras, France).

Rival Sons' latest album, 2012's Head Down, charted in 12 countries. The first single off of the album, "Keep on Swinging", topped the Canadian Active Rock chart. The second single from the album, "Until the Sun Comes" (featured below), is out now. The band finished out 2012 by being named Classic Rock Magazine's "Best Breakthrough Band" and Planet Rock's "Best New Band".
