Guests to theme parks such as Six Flags America and Kings Dominion know that Rita’s Italian Ice offers the best in icy refreshment on a hot day. Rita’s, the nation’s largest Italian ice seller, has taken the number one spot on Zagat’s annual fast-food survey in the “quick refreshment” category.
Zagat, a Google company, is best known for its popular restaurant review book known as the “burgundy bible.” Zagat has surveyed more than 10,500 diners about hundreds of restaurant chains.
Rita’s offers a large variety of frozen treats that includes its famous Italian ice, which is made fresh daily with real fruit, as well as old-fashioned frozen custard, milkshakes, layered gelati and its signature Misto and Blendini creations. More than sixty flavors of tasty Italian ice are available.
Rita’s was followed in the Zagat results by Ben & Jerry’s, Haagen Daz, Peet’s Coffee & Tea and Culver’s.
