There's plenty of buzz surrounding the movie adaptation of 50 Shades of Grey today, and now one more piece of the puzzle is in place as far as the cast goes.
Ora confirmed the casting decision through her personal Twitter account, saying "It's official!" The 23-year-old has a couple of acting credits so far, including the 2004 British movie Spivs and a cameo in Fast & Furious 6, but the 50 Shades role will be her first major film role.
Born in Pristina, Kosovo, Ora grew up in West London and released her debut studio album, Ora, last year. The singer has three consecutive No. 1 singles, including "Hot Right Now," and is currently signed to Jay-Z's label. Her relationships have also been somewhat public, as she and Rob Kardashian, brother to the famous sisters, dated for about a year.
50 Shades of Grey stars Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson and is currently slated to hit theaters just in time for Valentine's Day on Feb. 13, 2015. Producers will reportedly release two versions of the movie; a standard R-rated version and a much dirtier version bearing the rare NC-17 rating.
