RIT student scares off home intruder with AR-15

Last Tuesday, after hearing a noise in the basement of his apartment, Christopher Boise went to investigate, only two find two intruders waiting at the bottom of the stairs. One of the men had a gun trained on Boise.

Boise yelled for his roomate, Raymond. Realizing that his roomates' scream "wasn’t like a ‘I stepped on a piece of glass’ kind of scream,” Raymond went to unlock his AR-15, which he legally owns and uses for sport. Raymond told 13WHAM that as one of the intruders reached his door, he backed out as soon as he saw the rifle. The intruders left and no shots were fired.
