The New School of the Arts will once again be showcasing their signature fundraiser, the Rising Stars Exhibition on Wednesday, March 24 at 5:00 p.m. in the Artseen at 2215 NW 2nd Avenue, Miami. The opening reception will be on Wednesday, March 24 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. At 7:30 p.m. They will be staging their Rising Stars Showcase in the Sanford and Dolores Ziff Ballet Opera House.
The New World School of the Arts will showcase the talent of its high school and college students in both the performing and visual arts. The Rising Stars showcase is a three-part celebration that begins with an Exhibition of artworks by New World School of the Arts students followed by a performance of dance, music and theater and concludes with a Benefit Reception in celebration of yet another year of academic and artistic excellence.
The New World School of the Arts provides arts education from high school to the baccalaureate degree through its partners, Miami-Dade County Public Schools, Miami-Dade College and the University of Florida. The New World School of the Arts was created by the Florida Legislature as a center of excellence in the arts.
