Ripple Function, one of the largest and most successful suppliers of licensed entertainment and pop culture apparel in the world, announced on May 6, its tornado disaster relief initiative for victims who have been affected by the tornadoes and flooding that has recently hit the southern and eastern United States. Through its tornado relief initiative Ripple Function has donated 5,000 of its popular graphic t-shirts to Matthew 25: Ministries for distribution to the victims.

“Our intention is to help those who have been devastated by loss from the recent natural disasters,” notes Ripple Junction President Neil Hoynes. “Clothing is a fundamental need, and we’re thrilled that we can make a difference in the lives of others who have lost so very much.”

Communities that have recently been ripped apart by the recent influx of rain, tornadoes and flood stretched from Kansas across the states reaching Florida up to Maryland. In total 17 states have been affected by the severe weather storms. Matthew 25: Ministries is a non profit international disaster relief organization that provides the basic necessities, nutritional supplements, educational materials, micro-enterprise supplies and disaster relief across the US and worldwide. Their mission is to fulfill Matthew 25:34-40 of the New Testament by providing nutritional food to the hungry, clean water to the thirsty, clothing to the naked, affordable shelter to the homeless, medical care to the ill, and humanitarian supplies to those in need. Alongside Ripple Junction they have responded to these devastated areas with the basic necessities the affected need.

Ripple Junction was started in 1992 out of the back of a van that was affectionately called 'The Denterprise'. Neil Hoynes, now president of the company and some friends began selling tees as a way to fund a summer trip following the Grateful Dead around the country. 22 years later, they are now a preferred vendor of many retailers and the go-to licensee for several major licensors landing them on License Magazine’s Top Licensee list five years running. They're more than just tees though. Ripple Junction also offers hoodies, hats, barware, ornaments, key chains and so much more.
