RIP Robert Novak

Journalist and pundit Robert Novak passed away Tuesday after struggling with cancer for a little over a year.

The 78-year-old served as an influential columnist at the Washington Post where he wrote "Inside Report" (his opinion-based column with partner Rowland Evans for 30 years).  The conservative also appeared on shows like CNN's "Crossfire" and PBS' "Newshour."

Despite a high-profile career in political journalism since the 1960s, it seems that Novak's legacy will be indelibly tied to the 2003 identification of Valerie Plame as a CIA spy on the front page of the Post.

In 2007, Scooter Libby was convicted over the public identification of Plame.

The online Washington Post has several tributes to their fallen colleague today.

What do you think Novak's legacy will be?
