Ringo Starr's new album drops after first week on Billboard charts

"Ringo Starr 2012," the album by Ringo Starr released Jan. 31, is at #192 in its second week on the Billboard 200 album chart. The album, which debuted at #80 last week, currently sits near two Elvis Presley albums. It's just below "Elvis: Best of Love" and three spaces above "An Afternoon at the Garden."

 
"Ringo 2012" didn't debut as high as Starr's previous album, "Y Not," which was on the Billboard 200 the week of Jan. 30, 2010, at #58.  
 
On the Billboard Rock Albums chart, "Ringo 2012" dropped to #40 in its second week. It debuted the previous week at #21.  Amazon.com's edition of the album includes a bonus DVD .

Starr has announced he'll tour the U.S. this summer with a new edition of his Ringo Starr and his All-Starr Band that will include Todd Rundgren, Steve Lukather from Toto and Gregg Rolie from Santana and Journey.
 
In other Beatle-related album news, Paul McCartney's "Kisses on the Bottom" debuted at #5 on the Billboard 200 and made a big jump to #1 on the Billboard Jazz Albums chart.
 
Also making its first showing on the Billboard 200 this week is Roberta Flack's album of Beatle covers, "Let It Be Roberta," which debuted at #181. The album also made a showing on both the R&B/Hip-Hop Album and Independent Album charts at #30.
 
Flack's single from the album, "We Can Work It Out," sits at #25 this week on Billboard's Jazz Songs chart in its third week on the chart. It has charted highest at #23 in its time on the charts. Amazon.com's exclusive version of the album includes two extra tracks.
 
Also on the charts this week is "Revolver," though it's not the Beatles album. It's "rEVOLVEr" by T-Pain, which sits at #26 (as it did last week) on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop chart. It's been on the charts 10 weeks as high as #7.
