Ringo Starr reveals some new news about his All-Starr Band

Ringo Starr is out talking about his new album, "Ringo 2012," which will be out Jan. 31 He made made two appearances on UK TV and radio Wednesday.

He appeared on the ITV show "Loose Women," which sounds to us like a British version of ABC's "The View." Donna Jackson of the British Beatles Fan Club said the discussion on the show between Ringo and the show's female hosts went back and forth. The women wanted to talk about the Beatles, while Ringo wanted to talk about the new album. If you're in the UK, you'll be able to see a replay online at the link.

He also appeared on "Steve Wright in the Afternoon" on BBC Radio 2. From the description sent along by Jeremy, it was a very interesting session. Ringo said that in his head he's still 24. He talked about his battle with alcohol and drugs and how his "brothers" in the Beatles pulled each other through their crazy times.

He also talked about the All-Starr Band, how much he loves it, how he puts it together and revealed he's putting together a new version of the All-Starr Band.

He also said he recently had dinner with Paul McCartney, who told Ringo about his new album, which Ringo said he hadn't heard. He says Paul gave him a small donkey for Christmas.

A clip of the show is available at left, though it may not work if you're outside the UK. The full show, which is available to those outside the UK, can be heard at this link.
