Ringo Starr appears at Meyerhoff in June and tickets on sale today, February 25

A Beatle is coming to Baltimore this summer.  Not the usual beetles that appear in the warm weather, but a hot one, Ringo Starr.  For one night only, the former Beatle and his All Starr Band will be in town performing at the Meyerhoff.

The tour, which is officially the 13th All Starr Band tour begins on June 14 in Niagara Falls, Canada and wraps up in Los Angeles on July 21st.  How lucky are Baltimoreans that Ringo picked Charm City to be a stop on this limited tour?  He is bringing his famous-in-their-own-right regulars Richard Page, Todd Rundgren, Mark Rivera, and Gregg Bissonette.  Adding more glimmer and shine to the All Starrs this time around are Steve Lukather (Toto) and Gregg Rolie (Santana & Journey).

Fans can expect to hear Ringo's tremendous catalog of hits including solo and Beatles' classics such as "Yellow Submarine," "Little Help From My Friends," "It Don't Come Easy," and "Wings," which is a tune on his latest release, Ringo 2012 (Hip-O/Ume), his 17th solo album.

In addition, his All Starrs will play their own hits such as Rundgren's "Hello It's Me," Toto's "Rosanna," and Santana's "Black Magic Woman."  Quite a spectacular line-up that is sure to be as musically entertaining but also a performance full of the wit and humor Ringo is known for.  Anyone lucky enough to be in the room during this awesome evening will be feeling the peace and love that Starr and his band convey in all they do.

Sure to be an instant sellout, tickets go on sale today at noon.  Prices for the absolutely priceless experience are $69.10 and $268.60.  Check the Ticketmaster web site for more detail to jump on this exciting opportunity to see one of the most famous drummers, musicians, humanitarians and good souls of all time.

The Meyerhoff Symphony Hall is located at 1212 Cathedral St, Baltimore, MD 21201.  Box office number is (410) 783-8000.  For more information, click here .
