“'Common Bond.' Mark Rivera's new record. And you're even more luckier because I'm on it,” a jovial Ringo says in the video.
On March 21, New York's Q104 will sponsor an after show party and jam at GTR Store. This invite-only event will be available to Q104 listeners and includes a contest to win a pair of tickets to Billy Joel's performance at Madison Square Garden that same night as well as signed copies of Mark's album. On March 27, Mark and a full band perform a set at The Cutting Room in New York.
Ringo's endorsement is not the first Mark Rivera's album has received. Billy Joel also posted about the record on his social media, the announcement said.
In a Beatles Examiner 2013 interview with Rivera, he had nothing but praise for Ringo Starr.
“He is so unassuming and such a nice man. Genuinely one of the nicest people I've ever met,” he said.
“And this whole 'peace and love' thing is real. The man, I've never met anyone more walking the walk than he does. He just feels like this world and our human race could be a better place if we would just take a moment and get along. He really is that guy.”
