Now, that snow is no longer covering the ground, and sunshiny days are a -plenty, it's time to think about Spring. Let's start with spring cleaning. It's better to get a head start on the cleaning rather than wait until the middle of summer when no one feels like doing any kind of hard work. Box items that are no longer of use to you and consider donating ones in good condition to your local charity. Junk items that cannot be recycled, should be thrown away. if you're up to it, gently used or antique items can be sold online.
If you love books but have too many of them, you may want to donate them to your local library, school or sell them online. One good site that will pay your for your books is Cash4Books. It's really easy to use and you're getting rid of excess items and putting a few bucks in your pocket as well.
Now's the time to clean all of the dust that built up in the house. Places that catch a lot of dust are ceiling fans, inside of windows, beneath furniture, pictures and wall art and behind and beneath appliances. You will be amazed at how much cleaner the air in your home feels after a good cleaning.
Don't forget about your yard. Debris from winter storms, etc. should be neatly packaged according to the requirements of your city/town. Most cities/towns post rubbish removal days so you'll be able to put your rubbish out during one of the pick-ups.
Spring cleaning can be tedious but the sooner you begin, the less you'll have to worry about in the middle of summer. A clean home is an attractive home, especially if you are trying to sell it!
