Looking for something a little different than the same old traditional New Year's Eve party this year? Want to try something a little more exciting and different for a change? If so, the "Welcome 2014" New Year's party at Bluebonnet Naturist Resort may be just the ticket for you. You won't even have to fuss over what to wear!

Bluebonnet, one of the popular nudist resorts in North Texas has quite a festive affair on tap with dinner, dancing and live entertainment by Tyla Taylor. The live music runs from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.

The end of year event kicks off with dinner at 6:30 p.m., on New Year's Eve. Guests have the option of either roasted Cornish game hen or Rib Eye steak cooked to order as the entree accompanied by a baked potato, steamed fresh vegetables, fresh green salad and dinner rolls. The feast can be topped off with peach cobbler or chocolate cake for dessert.

A midnight snack is also planned for New Year's revelers featuring assorted cold cuts, nuts, crackers, spinach and cheese dips.

The fun will continue on New Year’s Day with a brunch served at 11:30 a.m. that will feature spinach or ham quiche, bacon, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, orange juice or coffee. A generous helping of black eyed peas will also be served during brunch to those wishing to observe the southern tradition that promises luck in the New Year to those who eat black eyed peas on New Year's Day.

Brunch will be followed with the Bluebonnet "Polar Bear Plunge" at 1:00 p.m., January 1. Take the plunge yourself if you are daring enough to brave the icy depths or simply participate vicariously by watching from poolside as other intrepid souls take the dip.

The cost of the event, $50 singles/$100 for couples if paid in advance or $60 singles/$120 for couples at the door include the New Year's Eve dinner and entertainment and the New Year's Day brunch. RSVP to Bluebonnet resort is required by Dec. 29, 2013, by those planning to attend.

The Bluebonnet flyer makes no mention of Champagne so you may wish to bring along your own bottle of bubbly to ring in the Newd Year.
