According to ROHWrestling.com, Ring of Honor will be making a show fans would usually have to wait months to see on DVD available immediately! No, ROH doesn’t have a live Pay Per View deal, but they will be live streaming a show!
On Saturday night, December 19, Final Battle 2009 will be live streamed for $14.95 ($12.95 for pre-orders) at GoFightLive.tv. Tyler Black vs. Austin Aries for the ROH World Title and Jay and Mark Briscoe vs. The American Wolves, along with all the other live ROH action from the Manhattan Center can be seen without delay.
This is a huge advantage for ROH, who had been struggling with losing viewers to other indies like Chikara, PWG and Dragon Gate USA. To see these companies, however, fans not in the general area must wait anywhere from weeks to months. That means the results are already in and fans are just paying for quality. This revives the unpredictability of the business on the independent level in a big way and is a move I hope to see instituted on many more ROH shows in the future.
